Readers and Writers

London is home to an amazing range of reading and writing experiences.

All types of libraries in London support the reading and writing habit, not to mention bookshops, book groups, writers groups and a wide range of arts organisations.

There are almost 100 reading groups based in London's public libraries, including those especially for family and teenage reading  - use the link to the database of libraries at the top of left hand menu to find the one nearest to you.

Over recent years there have been a range of book promotions hosted by London's public libraries:

  • Capital Offences - crime fiction set in and around London
  • WitLit - seriously funny fiction
